Who I am
AcupunctureN6 is the practice of Sharminee Kumaradevan, a member of the British Acupuncture Council, based in Highgate, London N6. I am responsible for the personal information described here, and I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You can contact me at [email protected].
What I collect
When you get in touch, I receive the details you choose to give me. Through the contact form, that is your name, your email address, your mobile number if you add it, the topic you choose, your message and how you’d like me to reply. If you email me or send a WhatsApp message, I receive your message and contact details in the same way.
Please don’t include detailed medical information in the form. We can talk about that when we speak.
How I use it
I use your details only to reply to you and, if you decide to book, to arrange your appointments. The law allows me to do this because you have asked me to contact you, as a first step towards treatment. I don’t use your details for marketing, and I don’t sell or share them with anyone for that purpose.
Services that handle your information
- The contact form is delivered by Web3Forms, which passes your message on to my email.
- My email is provided by Google (Gmail).
- WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp, which is part of Meta.
- This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may record basic technical information, such as your IP address, to keep the site running securely.
Some of these companies may store information outside the UK, under their own data protection terms.
Cookies
This website doesn’t use cookies, advertising or tracking tools.
How long I keep it
If you don’t go on to book, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you become a patient, it becomes part of your patient record.
Patient records
If you become a patient, I keep confidential clinical records, which include information about your health. I keep them securely, as the British Acupuncture Council requires, and for the length of time it requires. I share them only where the law requires, or with your consent, for example if you ask me to write to your GP.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, and ask me to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email me and I’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
